Tomisin Summers is a multidisciplinary artist, educator, and creative director whose practice unfolds through TOMILUW: a platform and brand dedicated to the intersection of fashion, art, poetry, and storytelling. Rooted in a background in both Fashion (BA) and Linguistics (MA), T. Summers approaches creativity as a form of translation: transforming abstract concepts of identity, culture, and healing into tangible experiences of design and visual storytelling.
As an educator, she approaches teaching with the same artistic lens of curiosity and intentionality, and employs these tools as entry points into deeper dialogues about expression, community, and belonging. This approach reflects T.Summers’ belief that art and design are inherently relational. By integrating storytelling into visual work, TOMILUW offers not only objects of beauty but also frameworks for dialogue – spaces where viewers and wearers can locate themselves, recognize connections, and imagine new possibilities of selfhood.
At its core, T.Summers’ practice is an invitation to slow down, to embrace intention, to find meaning in restraint, and to discover beauty in the interplay between simplicity and complexity. Through TOMILUW, T. Summers continues to explore the ways fashion and art can expand language, embody culture, and create shared spaces of reflection and belonging.
